This is a great little radio that also has built in CTCSS and Repeater offset settings for using 10mtr HF repeaters.  For most TTR's 29.6Mhz> with a -100khz

These are the New Model 5555N-II "Short" Radio 136<>174Mhz RX Go in to WX (Weather Receive Mode) mode by pressing "Menu then "Mode/TSQ" and by holding the "FRQ/REP" button in it will go into WX VFO Mode and you can now receive between 136-174Mhz in FM mode only, SUPER COOL 

With a small modification this radio can also transmit and receive across all bands 24,25,26,27,28,29 & 30Mhz, just move the jumper and cut the white wire in the photos this also allows access to 27Mhz CB Radio Bands with AM/FM/USB/LSB

ALL RADIO's will be setup with the latest settings 

• Turned ON, VSWR Alarm set to approx above 5 tested and checked Radio VSWR Meter reading (factory setting is 20 way too high!!!) you can turn this ON or OFF in the "Menu" if needed, When turned on if your antenna tuning is no good and above approx 5.0 the radio will say SWR Alarm and stop transmitting - this is to protect your radio if your coax plug or mobile antenna is removed or if your antenna tuning is really bad 
• Turned ON, Roger Beep set up a custom 2k tone for 200ms and programed into Roger Beep No6 leaving all the factory tones still selectable if required 
• Turned ON TC Clarifier, TX and RX Clarifier option selected and tested - You can adjust if needed in the "Menu" to TX or RX or TX/RX - this setting is if you turn your clarifier from the 12o'clock mark will adjust "BOTH" RX and TX clarification at the same time 
• Mic gain set to Max - You can adjust levels if needed in the "Menu" max is level is 36
• Turn on 4X5N2 - this is the latest Ver 3.03-NII
